Synaptics provides the linux touchpad driver.

Locations

/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/*.conf configure touchpad

Insstall

pacman -S xf86-input-synaptics
nano /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/50-synaptics.conf

Usage

synclient               # show all options, and settings

synclient PalmDetect=1  # set an option

Finding your touchpad's options:

xinput -list

You will get a list of 1s and 0s which correspond to:
