I have very limited experience with Painter, I found it frustrating (just like real media) to try to paint with dripping brushes, and the main appeal for me was being able to mix paints to get colours you wanted. I should really give this program to Alex...


Creating Custom PHOTOSHOP-LIKE brushes in Painter

* Create an Alpha in Photoshop or Painter on a square tile (400x400)
* Load the image in painter
* Choose Acrylics, OR Photoshop Category (mine)
* Select an existing Brush, and click Save Variant from the Triangle Menu to the right of the Selected Brush– name what you would like your new brush to be called
* Select your entire image with the marquee tool (R) 
* Choose Capture Dab from the Triangle to the right of the selected Brush Menu.
* Hit Ctrl + B to open up your brush editor, adjust brush to your liking

**NOTE!   To prevent colour mixing or bleeding  choose the tab called “Well” and create a higher value for resturation
