I'm always on the lookout for a better file browser. Clover seemed to be perfect but it can be unstable, and it frequently doesn't resize well when managed with Bug.N.
MultiCommander is built as a means of meeting halfway between NortonCommander and the Windows Explorer. The bookmarks bar is less convenient, the split view is the default, the tabs are a bit small for my liking and there aren't any hotkeys to switch between tabs. Despites all of this it is portable, reliable, has some nice modules.
